MORE ABOUT JUDITH WILSON
The Greystone Mansion Showcase
The 55-room, Tudor-style Greystone Mansion, designed by the architect Gordon Kaufmann, better known for his work on the Hoover Dam and the Los Angeles Times building, became a city park in 1971. Today, the grandiose and lavish property grounds are often the beautiful cinematic backdrop in movies and television shows and a favorite location for extravagant special events and festivals in Beverly Hills.
The Greystone Mansion Design Showcase House is one such a special event, during which leading interior designers transform the Greystone Mansion into a unique expression of creativity.
As a guest designer at the showcase, Judith Wilson was tasked to exhibit her interior design abilities by decorating the suite of the lady of the mansions, Mrs. Doheny. The Judith Wilson Interior Design Group reflected upon the glamorous 1920s in which the Greystone mansion was built and incorporated its grandness by using fine silks, antiques, custom-designed rugs and velvets that the lady of the house might have handpicked herself during that period. The integrity of the Mansion’s architecture was embraced, and the footprint of the area and furniture layout capabilities considered. The suite was entitled “Hollywood Glamor”, considering its social history of both the family and the property. Both new and familiar vendors were collaborated with to achieve the beautiful space.
I would like to express our thanks for being such a wonderful interior designer and to congratulate you on the masterful display of finish work in respect to the Tisherman residence for the Matt Plaskoff Construction. It was a pleasure to see such a display of old world charm that captured excellent craftsmanship and remarkable detailing.
From an architect's point of view, you are a blessing to our profession. Keep up the good work!

It would be difficult for me to put into words what a marvelous job Judith Wilson did in helping me transform my very boring home into a showpiece my husband and I love.
I had a good idea
ofI wanted to do, but little idea how to pull it off without costly trial and error. Judy somehow managed to get me to just the right sources without wasting my time with things I’d hate. She was masterful in designing and arranging furniture to suit our needs, and open to every idea we had. Our decorating discourse went something like this: I’d say, “I think it would be fun to do this. She’d counter with, “Do you know what would be even more fun? Then she’d turn my idea into something really amazing. She was especially sensitive to my wanting to save money where a big expenditure wouldn’t show, and to spending money wisely where it would show. I felt I got real bang for my decorating buck.
Judy was a joy to work with, and I have to say that I’m sorry my home is finished. I miss her company and her unfailing good humor.
I’d be happy to talk with you if I can answer any further questions. Please ask Judith for my number.
I was most fortunate to be able to work with Judith Wilson of JWI Design Group on the remodel of my home. Her knowledge and expertise far exceeded our expectations and brought us through what turned out to be a difficult project. In the end, I have the most beautiful kitchen I have ever seen and am overjoyed with the result of the entire project.
Ms. Wilson has an incredible eye for detail in every
way,and is at all times professional and accessible. She easily works with all trades, from the general contractor on down. She always treats everyone with the utmost of respect, and willingly listens to all suggestions before making decisions. She has a wealth of resources, and unending patience. Her ultimate goal is that the client is happy and that the project is beautiful in the end.
I consider Judith Wilson not only a wonderful designer whom I would readily recommend to friends, and acquaintances
alike, but now also a dear friend.
Thanks so much for your expertise - We just love the house! The first thing everyone raves about is the colors.

Ernie & I have known Judith Wilson for about 16 years. She has an excellent eye for color, design and is extremely creative. She is also very knowledgeable
withfabrics and style. She assisted us in various decorating phases at our 1st home in North Hills and recently helped us decorate our Master bedroom with window treatments, bedding and chair upholstery in our Granada Hills home. I would highly recommend her as a person and a professional!
Judith has the eye for design and is able to conceptualize things that a lot of people can’t. That’s obvious just by some of the great projects she's done.
Judith: You’re the best!!!!!

What an amazing job you did in the remodel of our kitchen and family room. Your vision and expertise in laying out the rooms gave us the results we were looking for. Everyone that comes over loves the warmth of our home and the easy flow that works from room to room.
I couldn't have done it without your experience and knowledge. It isn't just your great taste level but your eye for detail that separates you from all the others. I can't wait until we work together on another project and I'll keep referring my friends to you.

Refreshingly professional. Judith was so warm on the phone and patient with us being “Rookie Remodelers,” that we did not feel a need to interview any other Design Professionals.
Complements to my Designer!!
Thanks very much for recommending Judith Wilson Interior Design Group for my remodel. I could not be more delighted with their service. They brought my project in on time and on budget
; andthere is no way that I could have done it myself at this price.
Judith Wilson's design team did a wonderful design and execution
; andare even lovelier than I hoped. Their Contractor is the most professional general contractor I have ever worked with. And, most important, they listened to what I wanted, and how much I could afford, and made sure that I got it.
